GUGO BARK

Gugo bark was one of the “whole” shampoos used commonly before commercial shampoo was invented. It contains saponins but it does not actually bubble! Soak a finger-long strip in water for an hour then pound, or soak in hot water for a few minutes. Use the liquid and the bark to scrub your scalp. Follow with a calamansi or citrus rinse.
