ISLAND HARVEST CHOCOLATE HEARTS (STA. CRUZ, MARINDUQUE)
Made from Marinduque-grown beans and crafted in small batches, these chocolates showcase the island’s cacao in snackable little hearts. Four of their small-batch chocolate variants: 50% Fire & Spice Milk Chocolate with warming spices, 50% Calamansi Milk Chocolate with bright citrus notes, 70% Dark Chocolate for a balanced bittersweet profile, and 85% Dark Chocolate for a deeper cacao experience.
Island Harvest in the hills of Sta. Cruz, Marinduque are part of a community cacao initiative working with smallholder farmers across the island. More than 40 farmers from four nearby communities now co-own the Ani ng Duque Agriculture Cooperative, which buys their harvest and transforms it into fine-flavored chocolate—allowing farming families to move beyond simply growing cacao and participate directly in processing and value-added products.
